We really liked the place. The ambiance was great. The service was excellent. The food was good but I think that the menu lacked variety. The place is pricey so be prepared if you visit. Overall we had a good time and I recommend it if the food selection suits your mood.

if you are in a mood for high end/ michelin star equivalent restaurant while in San Juan, this is your place. ideal for both date night and friend group dinner. cozy, candle light, romantic atmosphere. definitely make a reservation before hand. ambiance, food, service - everything was exceptional. we went for desserts but ended up trying a couple appetizers- they were delish and flavorful. desserts were yum!! highly recommend. celebrated our friends birthday as well- it was a sweet touch to end our trip to PR.

Good place for high end dining and elegant ambiance. I ordered the goat stew and it was flavorful, but it didn’t have the “wow” factor I was looking for in a dish especially for the price listed in their specials. Service was excellent and our waiter was attentive to our needs. Would I recommend visiting Santaella if you are looking for fine dining? Yes. Would I go back again? Probably, not.

Amazing evening! We sat at the bar and were able to watch the bar staff prepping ingredients for the night and making cocktails. All the cocktails we had were very fresh and flavorful.
The food was amazing! Everything was very bright and fresh. The ceviche and fritters were great seafood starters. The cucumber salad was super interesting, with soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame, and peanut butter flavors. The trifongo was amazing! Never had it before and now it’s my favorite! The steak was large and perfect for sharing.

I highly recommend the grill octopus and the fried calamari. I really enjoy the goat cheese quesadillas, and I had a sweet taste with the honey. The mushroom empanadas were also excellent. They have a great list for cocktails and wine. My least favorite was the chicken with polenta. I loved the music and atmosphere. Bon appetite!
