This place was amazing. Arepas are bite size so I definitely recommend getting two. I had the ceviche, octopus, and the crab meat. Definitely worth it. Not a very huge drink selection but just a Medalla beer did the trick. Space is open and the service was great as well.

This was my first time trying Peruvian Arepas! I'm familiar with Venezuelan stuffed and Colombian breakfast ones.
The location is nice! Beautiful tree and lights! Music a little loud but it's okay!
The food, however, was aight...
It's not corn, it feels more like a type of starchy flour and the fillings were octopus, which was okay, it just tasted like Mayonnaise. The ceviche one was not it.
The chicken was good.
So, I'd stick to that at least chicken to be safe if you want to try some other flavors.
I'd not go back or recommend it.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! It was our first time trying this place and we trusted the reviews but never going back. Ordering the food was easy but when trying to split in separate orders, they completely screwed everything up. We waited for an hour for the food. And when everything was ready, our food was just sitting on the counter for at least 5 minutes before we had to tell someone that it was our food. When checking everything, they put all the food together and we had to go through each box to see if it matched with each person’s order. They forgot to add at least 4 things and we had to wait another 15 minutes. They were not understanding at all. Only offered a cup of soda for the inconvenience. No managers were there either. What a waste of time. There are many other GOOD food places in San Juan and this is not it. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Money and time wasted. Food wasn’t good either. From all of that time waiting, it was cold and soggy.

Great ambiance, really nice idea but not a great execution.
Our friend recommended this place to us, and we looked at the reviews and the pictures we got so excited but not sure how it got the 4.6 stars rating.
The waiter was nice and attentive but between him and the “chef” they messed our order.
The arepas were extremely underwhelming! We ordered pollo, pernil, pulpo and Tripleta “Arepas”.
First, it has nothing to do with arepas, it’s simply fried dough bread and not the whole pouch is full with meat, 3rd of the arepas at the bottom was empty especially the pulpo.
The pulpo was disappointing, no color, flavor and bad portion.. The pernil was super dry, it should be dipped in the broth in my opinion to keep it moist instead of aioli.
I wouldn’t go there again but maybe I didn’t order the right choices.

I’ve been to La Preña a few times. My favorite arepa was with guava y queso but they have a few more . I like the one with pulpo too. I like how efficient their take out operation is they have an app and they will even take your order from the street (I was on my bike)
