If you’re looking for Mexican food in PR this is not it. The food was by far the worst we had in the island. The service was not the best either. The guacamole was not good, and the carnitas smelled really bad almost as if it was rotten. We did end up speaking to the owner and she apologized for our experience and took care of the problem. As the owner, I wish she would’ve been more attentive from the beginning. We went from our server who acted like her hands were tied to the head server who said sorry but we’re still charging you. Finally after we had paid we still asked for the owner to give our feedback. She was apprehensive at first but receptive to our feedback and terrible experience as there were 7 of us (4 adults and 3 kids) in our party. Save yourself the money and try a different place. Everything you see in the pics we did NOT eat. There’s a reason the reviews are not great.

We ordered the Grouper, 9” pizza, fettucine alfredo, and empanadillas to start. Everything came out quickly and perfectly cooked. The moscow mules were very fresh and well-made by the bartender.

The fish tacos at Jovita Cantina were delicious, and the cold beers served in icy buckets added to the experience. However, the guacamole was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the service was good, and the ambiance was fun, making it a decent spot for a casual meal with friends.

Delicious, simple perfection. Do not be fooled by the strip mall location; this food is truly outstanding, the margaritas are perfect (boozy but not too sweet), and the vibes are impeccable. 11 out of 10.
